I’m Going to WordCamp Buffalo this Weekend
WordCamp Buffalo 2016 is this Saturday and I am so looking forward to it! This will be my first WordCamp to actually attend, so I’ve also got some “butterfly nerves” to go along with it.
I sometimes have trouble with new situations and with crowds. It is very easy for me to just withdraw inside myself and not talk to anyone. And then afterwards I’ll be all angry with myself and full of regret that I missed the opportunity to meet new friends and make connections that I really need.
I’m trying now to decide which sessions I want to attend. They have one of the coolest named sessions I have ever seen – WordPress and Wine.
I just had Build a membership site in 30 minutes, for $30 recommended to me with this to say about the speaker, “(Chris Ross) @thisismyurl is the @charliesheen of the wp community.” Based on that alone, I have to experience that.
I think A Custom Theme in 30 Minutes looks like it should be good as well. It usually takes me 30 minutes to even get started on anything, so maybe after this I’ll be able to accomplish a lot more in 30 minutes!
Anyway, if you are going to WordCamp Buffalo 2016, and you see me standing or sitting off by myself, please do me a favor and don’t let me do that. Say howdy and remind me that I wrote this because I don’t want to regret not meeting you.
You go Paul! Have a productive WordCamp and come back with lots of information.
Thanks Patte! I’m hoping to have a notebook full of ideas for new posts and meetup talks. And I’m hoping to be able to spread the word about WordCamp Pittsburgh 2016!
